SCHOLARSHIP FUND DRIVE
"The Campaign for Central Athletics: Transforming Lives"
SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDE
NATIONAL PROMINENCE
In 2007, the football team reached the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II playoffs for the first time in its short history of Division II competition. The football team’s success drew interest from national media such as CSTV and D2football.com; from media throughout Nebraska and Michigan; and from regional outlets such as Associated Press, The Seattle Times, and The Tacoma News Tribune.
INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS
"I love it at Central! These have been the best four years of my life. And the whole reason I came to Ellensburg as a freshman was because Central offered me a better scholarship package than did other schools. The thing about scholarships is they're not just supporting athletics, they're supporting the future. I know several people who wouldn't be in school at all, let alone playing sports, if it wasn't for a scholarship. These athletic scholarships really do open the door to the future for so many students. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." - Mallory Holtman

The opportunity exists for you to help outstanding young women and men such as Mallory and help the entire program reach new heights of success at the NCAA Division II level by increasing the amount of funds available for athletic scholarships. Our table on the accompanying page indicates the different giving levels and associated benefits for members of the Wildcat Club. Some donors may prefer to fund a full scholarship. The idea of directly supporting a student-athlete may be quite appealing. For further information and funding a scholarship, call Mark Anderson at (509) 963-2129.
THE GOALS
The goals set by the Wildcat Club Board of Directors for the 2008 fund drive are to raise $300,000 in cash and gifts and to reach a total membership of 300. The TEAM CAPTAINS and the TEAM PLAYERS are asked to work toward fulfilling these goals by asking renewing members to increase their donations and by finding new members for the Club.
